Investors Policies with Tax Transcripts

This will outline which investor requires tax transcripts, which one does not, as well as each investor's specific policy on tax transcripts.
Self Employed:  (>25% Ownership, Rental Income & Fixed Income) Tax Transcripts Are Required By All Investors
  • Wells Fargo: W-2 IRS Tax Transcripts Are Required
  • Penny Mac: No W-2 IRS Tax Transcripts required for W-2 borrowers.
  • Flagstar: No W-2 Transcript Required
  • Franklin American: W-2 Transcripts not required for W-2 borrowers with no Overtime or Bonus Income
  • Suntrust: On Fannie Mae Loans - No W-2 Transcripts required on W-2 borrowers. Jumbo will require transcripts.
  • UWM: No W-2 Transcript Required
  • New Rez: See Attached Doc For Their Full Policy
  • GMFS: No W-2 Transcripts Required
  • Caliber: Still Researchingi
  • AFR: No W-2 Tax Transcript Required
  • Carrington: No W-2 Tax Transcript Required
  • AmeriHome: Transcripts required for each tax year with qualifying income documentation
  • Planet Home: W-2, No Transcripts Required unless Required by DU or LPA

Processors: if you are ordering transcripts for Wells Fargo, only order W-2 if they are a W-2 Borrower.

  • Be sure to follow guidelines depending on the investor stated above!
  • Ordering all transcripts may cause trouble if the tax return or something has not been filed yet.
  • Again, Planet Home does NOT require transcripts unless required by DU!
